How DI has impacted my family By Rebecca Harris August 19, 2005 |

My oldest daughter Alexandra - going into
6th grade this year, has been involved with DI for 4 years, going on five.
She started when she was in 2nd grade (non-competing level) and has gone
on to compete at the "global" level for the last 2 years. In May 2005 her team took 2nd place in the world, in their challenge, competing at the global competition in Tennessee. This program has opened our family's eyes to the amazing possibilities available to our children and it has given both of our children a focus with real purpose. Today, our little family of 4, is on a mission to engage kids within our community. We want to get the word out about DI because we know that DI will have a positive impact on your child's self-esteem and ability to deal with challenging situations as well as allow them opportunities to meet new friends, learn new life-skills, and to set goals that can be achieved.
