for the third annual
Delano DI Parade & Potluck!

Hey DIers and Families,

We know many of you are looking forward to the Delano Fourth of July parade and festivities as usual and here's your opportunity
to take part. Just like last year, Delano DI will be hosting a float and you are invited to take part in it!

Here is the plan:

PARADE FOR FAMILIES: 

• We have a great place for everyone to watch the Delano Fourth of July parade!  

  • Join us at Scott and Brenda Dallmann’s home at 525 Elm Ave, 763-972-4096. 
    (They are right on the parade route and have plenty of room for everyone!)  

• On the morning of July 4, drive into Delano, park your car, and walk to the Dallmanns. 

  • You should get into Delano by 8 a.m. Any later and the streets will be full or closed off.

  • Bring your own chairs and/or blankets. 

  • Bring your own refreshments (non-alcoholic only please).

  • Watch the parade and stay for the potluck afterwards!

  • Any parents wishing to walk the parade route to help watch the kids are welcome and appreciated. 

PARADE FOR DIERS:

• Be in the parade! 

  • Wear your green “I-DO-DI” Delano DI shirt from any year.

  • You may walk or rollerblade with the float.  

  • Water will be on the float for you to drink along the route.  

  • Pails of candy will be available for you to throw from the curb.

• DIers will be led to the float @ 10 a.m. from the Dallmann’s home. After completing the entire parade route, 
  DIers will head back to the Dallmanns.

• Stay for the potluck lunch!

POTLUCK FOR ALL:

You will bring: 

• Bring a dish, chips, salad, or dessert to share (should serve about 8).

• Bring your own beverage (again, non-alcoholic).

We will supply:

• Sloppy Joes, buns, plates, napkins, and utensils will be provided courtesy of our Delano DI sponsors.

Please e-mail Nancy Stellrecht at nancy@delanodi.org to let her know the following information: 

• Names of DIers joining the float and parents walking along to help.

• How many people will be staying for the potluck following the parade and what you plan to bring for the potluck.
